Disappointed at the result of the game..

I didn't actually go and watch the match. Had to go in to work today. But, I did wake up early morning and follow the game on cricinfo. Thank god for that site.. Ball by ball commentary is a bliss for cursed individuals like me!

But, well, I was disappointed at the result of the match.
Its amazing how unlucky Rahul Dravid is. Whenever Ganguly was the captain, Dravid was there giving support to the team as a giant pillar of strength. When Dravid is the captain, usually half the talent in the team is injured. For the first time I realised how badly we need Sachin The Bowler at the dying overs of the game. He could always be trusted to give a break. Sehwag was trusted with the ball towards the end of the game today, and well, honestly, he lacked the sting.

Sachin, where art thou?

Blame the batting! Pathetic is an understatement for our batting display:(((

Sachin the bowler was missing.. and wonder why Dravid dint give Yuvraj a chance... Sad that we couldnt pull it off even with an injured Jayasurya!!

The reason could be not because of Sachin the bowler being absent, but Sachin the batsman.

Not to mention the other half of the best ever opening partnership in the history of cricket ;-)

Hello Venky,
Which state are you in?

Nithya..
Looks like the WI game was much better. It was interesting to note that Rao and Saina took up responsibility in each game, inspite of being freshies into the team. Looks like a bright new future for the team as such..

Fierysinews..
Hmm, Sachin the bowler was definitely missed. He has always given us the option of an additional intelligent bowler. He, like Kumble, is an intelligent bowler who probes for weakness in the batsmen. He always creates puts tremendous pressure on the batsmen. Batting.. goes without saying... do we miss the world's best bastman? HELL YEAH!
